A hydrological transport model is a tool used to simulate the movement of water and the substances carried within it, such as sediments, nutrients, and pollutants, through a watershed or water system. These models help engineers and environmental scientists understand how contaminants travel and predict the impacts of land use, rainfall, and other factors on water quality. Hydrological transport models are commonly used in water resource management, flood studies, and environmental protection planning (Wikipedia).
